Our Mission

Our ultimate mission is to provide local artists the opportunity to showcase their talent, while simultaneously demonstrating the positive impact that music can have on the community.

We also strive to create memorable, repeatable and safe events for all students, performers and volunteers alike.

Our History

“A trio of young adults have added a new festival to Ottawa’s growing list of musical events.”
– Jessica Cunha, Ottawa West News, Sept ’13

Through the shared vision of uOttawa current alumni Sean CallaghanZachary Raynor and Gillian Gallant, E.L.E was founded during the summer of 2013 in an entrepreneurial effort to develop the careers of local bands.

Over the past 3 years, E.L.E has encouraged and inspired thousands of students on campus to work together in supporting one another’s dreams, and has also raised thousands in donations for The Candle-lighters’ Childhood Cancer Support Programs, a local charity workingto help families cope with effects of childhood cancer.
